Poem 9

Oct. 16th, 2019 08:46 pm
Death is not the end
But for our mortal bodies
Shells that we inhabit as homes
Ours and not us
These things we own
That don’t always fit
Quite right
Built by the universe
As temporary shelters
Home away from the void
Where they abyss reaches through
Just the slightest bit
Connecting us home
And together

Death is scary and inevitable
Patiently waiting to
Welcome and take us home
The messenger between
Abyssal void and bright universe
We carry back with us
And whisper our stories
Linking them the way they linked us

Poem 8

Oct. 16th, 2019 08:46 pm
We are made of stars
And luck
And grit
Free and willing
To stake our claim
And shout it to the universe and void
Daring them to make us move
We endure and survive
And it’s not always pretty
But we cut our own path
Forging ahead through darkness
And troubles
Determined to our starcores
To keep moving
Changing
Adaption
Kindling stories and ideas
Existing long past
Around
Our physical mortal shells
When we join the void once more
Sparking lights to follow
For those who look

Poem 7

Oct. 16th, 2019 08:45 pm
In the sky far above
Ever watching
Blinks the voids eye
Marking passing time as it
Watches
And waits
Peering into the everything
Into your soul
Rainbow ringed starshine
The innocent lovely moon
You stare at
The void staring back
They cat eye blink
Liking what they see
Chaos unfolding
Star matter in new forms
Always changing
Even when they aren't
Change is constant
And inevitable
And the abyssal void
Watches on
Ever present
All knowing
Unending

Poem 6

Feb. 22nd, 2019 10:28 am
There once was a child
Curled up tight within themselves
Creating an inner story
An inner lifetime
And many worlds
But staring out the theater
To the outside world
Separated from it by the veil
Of the body containing the mind
The spirit
The essence

Not quite touching
Not quite understanding
Lost without a roadmap
Or a guidebook
Or rules that make sense

Any attempts to read what is given
In the actions and speech of others
Must be translated into something understandable
But to do so requires time
And the ability to understand the starter language
Which does not exist in an entirety

Leaving bits and pieces
And vague phrases that don't quite make sense
To be all that can be used to understand this strange world
Filled with contradictions and mistakes

And an outer mask covered by cracks and missing pieces
Filled in by glue and held together by tape
Applied by well meaning and well taught natives
Who connected with
And befriended
The alien child underneath
Constantly reaching out to the world
That they can never touch
That they feel and sense instead through others
Forever a step behind and diagonal
To these strange native people
Of this strange untouchable world

There once was a child
Who never stopped being an alien
An outsider
Putting on a broken mask
And mimicking their loved ones
In an attempt to fit into their world
A world that was never
And will never be
Their own
But just might become
A home

Poem 5

Feb. 22nd, 2019 10:28 am
I laugh at your line in the sand
And dance with the oncoming storm
Rain has always been part of the sea
Even while separated by the sky

And it has always been
Mother earths gift
And curse
To those who survive
And those who thrive
Upon her

And in the end
I’ll be there dancing
Surrounded by fire and ash and bones
Laughing all the way
At the enemies who didn’t know
To tremble at my fury
The burning fire of my soul
Hidden as emers in a forest
Waiting for the right spark to explode
Into a starving wildfire
seeking eternally for more fuel
Eating away at the world until all that remains
Are the scorch-marked bones
And floating ash
Of the once full forest surroundings
That protected and caged the embers
Ever so carefully
Protecting the world from the fire’s wrath
Urged on by the shrieking winds laughter
And the sulking storm,
Lightening bored by the rain,
Looking to spark the fire once again
To watch the show
The unbridled chaos
As the earth falters and holds back
Letting the fire wipe away the blemish on its face
Before once again intervening
Cradling the spirit and spark of the fire
Drawing it back to its glowing embers
To be released once again

Poem 4

Feb. 22nd, 2019 10:26 am
Member of the a team
the triple a’s
agen aro ace
outside all societal impositions
looking on in confusion
at the insistence
that gender exists
with roles to be filled
that the idea even exists
that you cant have love
without sex or romance
and that not feeling these
is anathema to everything
blocked out of culture
if you cant or dont feel them
then something must be wrong
because to love romantically
and to want to have sex
every moment of the day
is essential to being human
and if you dont
then you arent

feeling the cracks
looking on
talking to others that arent alike
and finding only bare comprehension
and ignorance willing
not quite accepted even in
the accepting group
meeting
over and over
those not willing to accept
answer E:
none of the above

because it doesnt come marked in
on their scantron
fill in the blank form
so it must not exist
even as i stare down
at a single row
of the answers being E
already filled out
perfectly for me

Poem 3

Feb. 22nd, 2019 10:25 am
Dancing through darkness
walking the shadows
toeing the invisible line in the sand
flauting the rules and roles
singing to an unheard song
the lone grey dwellers
waltz to the tune of life
and shatter expectations, societal impressions
living free and large and lone
the lone grey dwellers
catch eyes over the fields
and nod
acknowledging the others
before going on way
wandering through the woods
surrounding the set path
protecting their own
while still being separate
the lone grey dwellers
walk the invisible line
inbetween
inbetween this thing and that
this existence and that
this compression and that
the lone grey dwellers
live fast and free
un observant to the restrictions
that bind the others
the lone grey dwellers
live content and fulfilled
free from binding restrictions
and half in mind
the imagination filling
shadows and lights
and colors inbetween
the lone grey dwellers
continue on

Poem 2

Feb. 22nd, 2019 10:24 am
As the white mountain
and dark black sea
fight for dominance
the grey plains hold the balance
spanning the inbetweens
and throughs
and creeps the cracks
straddling the line
keeping the balance
between the separated lovers
the ever fighting
white and black
mountains and seas

Poem 1

Feb. 22nd, 2019 10:20 am
when the star shine falls
falters and fades
the moon light shatters
and the earth shakes
the abyss shifts

a promise is a promise
so grant me favor for favor
wish for wish
let not lies fall from your lips
and together we’ll dance
through time and eternity
universe and space
never slowing down
or dancing to another’s tune
so long as a promise is a promise
and a favor for a favor
and a wish for a wish
set the tune
the everlasting rhythm
beating in time with our hearts

lest the beat of the war-drums ring
through smoke-filled air
choking the enemies
as we march in time
to the beating of the drums

the song of war in our hearts
and weapons in hand
marching, marching, marching
to the rhythm of the drums
the everlasting war-drums beat
ringing clearly
through war-filled air
